Introduction

I would like to try the Trikke prior to purchasing one.

What is your past experience with Trikke Carving Vehicles? Do you own your own Carving Vehicle? How long have you been riding?

I have no experience and would like to try it out first.

Where are you located? (Please also click the little Account link at the top right, and set your location in your profile so it shows the correct City, State - instead of Portage, MI which it puts in by default)

I live in Ypsilanti. There are no dealers in this area yet.

Are you a certified trainer and/or dealer for Trikke? If so, provide your website and contact info if you like.

No, and have no interest at this time.

What got you interested in Trikke? (The infomercial, seeing someone riding one somewhere, etc?)

I saw an infomercial.

How did you find out about the Michigan Carvers Group?

I received an email from Trikke about becoming a certified trainer and found this webpage.

  • Hi Nancy,

How has the trikking been going since the meetup out here in the spring that you made?
With practice, have you been able to get up inclines better? Hope things are going well.

  • Hi Nancy
I have a new T12 Roadster - Black for sale. I purchased it from a Woman in Homer, MI that only used it a few times. When I got it home I realized it was too much Trikke for me and I want the T78 Con. It comes with Manual, DVD and tools. I would like $400 for it. That is what I paid for it. Let me know.

  • Hi Nancy,
Sorry that I have been out of touch lately. Cool to hear about you getting the T8 Sport.

Do the wheels free spin well? And you are sure there is at least 80 psi in the tires?
The handlebars being too high or not tilted close to 45 degrees in the forward position can also have an impact on hill climbing, but honestly it is just something that can take some time to get the hang of.. Don't get too discouraged. I will try to help at the meetup on the 9th I see you signed up for.

  • Nancy, did you get a line on the new Red T12 that you wanted?
I know a couple of dealers that have one in stock if you are still looking... Well, at least I know that had one in stock. I would have to double check if they still do..

  • Hi Nancy - sounds good! - If you have your heart set on that new T12, I am sure you will be able to ride it fine with the handle bars at the lowest spot...(Especially considering that twin sons of my friend Carl can both ride a T12 pretty well for being 12 years old - just a little trouble climbing with it is all) - I just wanted to point out the option was there for that T8 refurb just in case you were interested. - Which of the new T12 colors are you thinking of getting?

  • Hello again Nancy,

Considering Bill has not been able to get access to an inside place as of yet, come on over on January 8th.
I would be happy to let you demo one for quite awhile in the rink. Inside is not as fun as outside, but it is still a good amount of space to get a feel for it.

  • Welcome to The Michigan Carvers. I expect to have classes at the Royal Oak YMCA in the spring. I am working on getting some inside places but no luck yet. I expect to be back at the Arts, Beats and Eats Festival in Royal Oak on the Labor Day week end.

  • Hi Nancy & Welcome to Michigan Carvers!!

I am happy to provide a demo on January 8th if you would like to drive over this way.

Just so that you are aware though - Bill Riley is a trainer closer to you (by about an hour) - he is in Pleasant Ridge, MI and is a member of this meetup group - http://www.meetup.com/Michigan-Carver...
