Introduction

I'm 34, live in the Detroit Metro area, and I love to Trikke. I just got my 1st Trikke about a month ago and I love riding it. When I'm not trikking, I'm usually playing video games. I'm looking forward to more group rides. :)

What is your past experience with Trikke Carving Vehicles? Do you own your own Carving Vehicle? How long have you been riding?

I saw the informercial back when Trikkes were first being introduced and I wanted one way back then. I have no idea why I didn't follow through on that desire until just now. I do own a T78. I call it a T8 Convertible w/ 2 rear 8" poly wheels.

Where are you located? (Please also click the little Account link at the top right, and set your location in your profile so it shows the correct City, State - instead of Portage, MI which it puts in by default)

Westland, MI

Are you a certified trainer and/or dealer for Trikke? If so, provide your website and contact info if you like.

What got you interested in Trikke? (The infomercial, seeing someone riding one somewhere, etc?)

How did you find out about the Michigan Carvers Group?

  • Actually, I guess that Maybury State Park is closer to Northville than to Novi

  • Hi Bryan,
Have you ever checked out Maybury State Park near Novi?

Apparently it has 4 miles of paved trail in it - may be a good place to meet with John if he contacts you, since he is so close to it...

  • That is ashame, but, as long as we would be close to the paved 6 miles segment at Hudson Mills Metropark, we could get 12 miles of carving on on the paved section, down and back... ? - In addition to going around the trail in the metropark, it would be 17.3 miles (or more)

There is the huron valley Trail, I would still like to try too (Some that don't mind hills could park in Kensington and Carve out to a trail head on the Huron Valley Trail)... Lansing River Trail is a thought too..

  • No Worries on Changing your RSVP for the workshop Today.
It was a "maybe" and not a "yes", right?....There are a few hit or miss showers that may be coming through in awhile anyway... Perhaps you may still have some time to get together with Kimberly (and the other newbies) over there somewhere if she contacts you... I will catch you next time - perhaps in Montrose, depending on when you make it back from Traverse City.... Have fun up there!

  • Perhaps tarnish was too strong of a word, though I did not mean it like it was a total loss, just not as shiny silver as it could have been :) - glad you have it disinfected, cleaned up, and wrapped and all that fun stuff that goes with wounds... Hope it feels better for you soon - just take it day to day like you said..

I have never tried a Rear Air Tires (RAT) configuration - perhaps now I won't be trying it.. Wish I had the foresight to suggest you buy a 3rd tire now that day..

  • Hi Bryan,

Sorry to hear about the spill and your thumb!
At least glad that you had a decent ride with George and Lori before it happened.

I know first hand how a spill can sort of tarnish an otherwise great ride. - We can do Kensington some other time beside tomorrow - try to make sure it can heal up well to still allow you to make the parade if possible! - Best wishes!

  • You can park at the Battlefield and trikke in to the State Park ... Exit 14 ... Elm St. the Battlefield is about 2/10th of a mile of the express way on the Right ... take a right off the express way. ... I will be there and Noon and trying to get another guy from Monroe that has a trikke.

  • I can go tomorrow ... I have the smaller trikke but I upgraded to the air wheels ... I wore out the other ones... LOL. Just let me know what time I and should be able to be there. I usually go trikke for an hour or more every day.
